Children's Portraits

Here are some commissioned portraits that I just finished. This time I tried to incorporate more of the subject's personality, and I tried telling more of a story with the image.

All of these portraits are done in watercolor or cardstock.
I do these portraits on request. Just send your requests and questions to asoon28@gmail.com.

Enduring Word Music Festival

Hey all,
I am going to be doing caricatures in a booth at the Enduring Word Music Festival in Castro Valley. It'll be going on this Saturday from 10am till 5pm in the evening. There is going to be lots of vendors, booths, a kid's place, and of course lots of music. You can come out to support the Castro Valley High School, or you can come out to support me. So come out and support somebody!

Horse Sketches

Here are some sketches that I did of horses, posted by the request of Heather. The anatomy of a horse has been a mystery to me, so I decided to study it and draw it in order to get better. In most adventure stories or stories about heroes, there seems to be horses. However, every time I go to draw a horse, I have a very vague idea of what their actual body construction is like.

Walking while dribbling a basketball

Here is the latest pencil test that I've worked on. It was definitely more of a challenge then the last one. First of all, it was not simple trying to figure out how someone walks while bouncing a basketball. Then, on top of that, I am dealing with a more complicated character design than the last one.

New Pencil Test

Here is a new pencil test that I recently completed. I'm trying to practice animation over the summer because I have a lot more free time. So, I decided to practice animating walks. With this one I tried to do some rubber hose animation like in the old 20's and 30's cartoons.
