Not the greatest, but it was worth the practice. It seems like it takes at least two caricatures for me to get warmed up and do something creative.

This one was a lot better. I changed the view to 3/4 to give a better sense of the dimensions of the face, especially the jaw. Working from pictures isn't the greatest for caricature art.

Caricature of the Day 2.9.11

I recently purchased a tablet for my computer. It makes digital art so fast and efficient. Here is the first of a series I've decided to do. I want to practice my caricature art more, so I decided to do one a day. If you have any suggestions of people I should draw, just leave a comment or email me.

Here are some paintings I did today. Just practicing with gouache. They each took about an hour to do.

I was just painting around the neighborhood today. The funny thing that happened was a guy came up to see what I was doing. He liked my painting and wondered what it would cost if I could paint his house for him. It was a good thing I had my business card with me...
