Sketching Around

I haven't posted anything in a while, so I thought I'd just share some recent sketches I've done. Over the summer, it has been a great exercise for me to just go out somewhere and draw. It is good to stay in the habit of drawing wherever I am. I have found that drawing is something that I can get rusty at if I don't keep up practice. So here are some drawings I've done to stay in shape!

Here are some neat sketches I did while traveling a couple weeks ago. We stopped in a town near Santa Cruz called Capitola. Here are some observations I made of people at the beach.

A Day at the Zoo

Here is the final version of my basic walk cycle for my Maya class. It was hard for me not to put personality in it and just do a "generic" walk.

Ariel in wonderland

Here is a portrait I did of my sister. It was supposed to be more personal and communicate who the person is. I used pencil and watercolor for this. I wanted some color for a change.
