Some recent plein air paintings

Here are some recent paintings I've done over the last month or so. I'm still struggling with the watercolor paint. I don't think I'm quite familiar enough with using these colors. 

Side note: the scanner picks the color up a bit differently than what the actual color is.

Plein air at the Lake

I was supposed to go to Del Valle park today for painting, but those plans fell through. So, instead I returned to Lake Chabot once again for some sketching and painting. Here is the plein air I did.






It's a little wrinkly.

Here are some paintings I did today. Just practicing with gouache. They each took about an hour to do.

I was just painting around the neighborhood today. The funny thing that happened was a guy came up to see what I was doing. He liked my painting and wondered what it would cost if I could paint his house for him. It was a good thing I had my business card with me...
